Elza wow haha I love your post; I have been thinking about the same things too, last week and this week, and how important and extremely crucial Jesus is. I mean, now I understand so much more why Jesus had to come, why He did the things He did, and why our every breath SHOULD honor Him. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. We fail and fall, but that's also where Jesus comes in and re-opens the pathway to God Himself.
A few things I've learnt last week and this week;
Jesus is our unfallible Great High Priest - We can never go near God because of our sin; how then can we approach Him? We are cut off from Him, and nothing we do is good enough to redeem ourselves. This is where Jesus comes in! God is angry with us, so Jesus talks to God for us, Jesus prays to God for us. That is the way God hears our prayers. Can you see how important Jesus is? Without Him, we will be separated from God cause of our sins! We can't touch Him! We'll have to rely on human priests to talk to God, and we know human priests can fail too. Only Jesus is perfect enough to stand in God's presence all day and intercede (pray on our behalf) for us.
Jesus made for us the perfect sacrifice - So that now God will always be appeased with Jesus. We don't need to sacrifice animals anymore (like in the Old Testament); the death of Jesus is MORE THAN ENOUGH to atone for ANY sin. That is why he can wash away ALL our sins. The worth of his sacrifice is infinite, and our sins are finite. If we put it into an equation, it'll go something like;
Jesus' worth > The cost of all the sins of mankind

Ya anyway so now you see how important Jesus is in our lives? Appreciate Good Friday and Easter man!! JESUS FTW!
