Hello all! Im mugging on my Human Geography now! Half dead but not half done yet.
Anyway, i was just slacking off lying on the bed and thinking of the message that Ryan delivered today. When he preached this afternoon, i didn't think much of it, well because i already had that head knowledge, the ability to call God Father or daddy or dad. I always knew that, nothing spectacular, nothing impressive. But yet again. thinking back now, about what he preached, this ability to call God as our Father, is an ability far greater than any other talents that we might have, or things that God grants us to have. This ability is far harder to comprehend then it seems, and i do admit there are times where I misuse this privilege. So often we use this term "Father" in our prayers that we do not take much notice on who we are calling Father!
Yeah, as Ryan said, its certainly mind-blowing.
Another thing,
Matthew 22:37: Jesus replied: " Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." This IS the first and greatest commandment
Yeah, see the word that i highlighted is a present tense. And this is really important in how we read the bible. Often in biblical scriptures, present tense are use.
Now, why is this important?
Looking at Matthew 22:37, its probably one of the most classic verse, the verse that we remember clearly, like some John 3:16. But yet in this most important verse, the greatest commandment is use by present tense. This is significant, because when you read this verse in present tense, be it 10 years later, 20 years, 50 years or 100 years later, the commandment is still present. This IS the first and greatest commandment. Forever and ever it will be!
Yeah, something mind-blowing i discovered while doing EXPERIENCING GOD.
