Oak 2008/09 Hello guys, i'll be going off to Malaysia in about 7 hours. It will only be like 1st Jan before i will be back and by that time it'll be 2009 already.

Anyway this is our first year as a cell group in 2008, and through the whole year, i can see how much God had worked within our own personal lives and within the cell group. To see each and every individual to open up, and to make this blog as a stepping stone for us to bond, it was really fantastic. From our very first cell outing at Sentosa, to the final cell outing today a hike up the nature reserve, i see a new spirit in each of our hearts. A spirit yearning for God, and a spirit to reach out to the community. When i first prayed over the group on the very first day that i met you guys, i wasn't feel very strongly committed that the prayer will work. Looking back now, i guess it's just all foolish thoughts really. When God works, really nothing and nothing is impossible. From seeing each of you, open up your lives, to see each of your testimonies, wonderfully said, written. I feel this group, is just like a living testimony of God's Embrace, Grace, Love.

Kenneth:
You have been a living testimony to the whole group i believe. From the quiet Kenneth to someone that will open up, and share with us his problems. I believe, nobody can deny that God had worked in you, in ways you yourself cannot believe. Rock on towards 2009! More plans are install for you!

Aik Ang:
It's great to see you with us again. Like everytime, your testimonies over your family problems and the struggle that you have, never fails to inspire me. In fact, i have a good amount of respect for you, to be able to come to church, worship God, with all the problems happening around you. Do not worry about tomorrow, but worry about today first. Tough problems don't last, Tough people do.

Joanne Lee:
Yet again, great testimonies of yours. I believe, you've really touched my heart during OPERATION DHL. And, i am quite sure, that this camp had changed you quite a bit inside out. Continue to believe in this God of yours, because he is trustful in all circumstances. Continue praying for your mother, because i believe, one day, God will be able to use you, to reach out to your mother.

Deborah Wong:
Hello quiet one! Even though you're quiet, i believe that God's purpose in you is never ever small. When i look at you, i feel that one day, you're gonna explode to us about God. The amount of attention that you pay during sermon, it really does amaze me sometimes. Rock on in 2009!

Alex:
Hey Xiao Alex, it has been great thus far to see you open up so so so much. From your sharing during OPERATION DHL, you should really know God's realness in your heart ya? And remember, don't give up, today, you just conquered Bukit Timah Nature Reserve! I Believe, as you grow up, God will grow in you also, so always be ready because, you never know what will happen. Learn to trust in him in all circumstances, this will be my prayer for you in 2009!

Gabrielle Loo:
I hope the piano exam went well, because you've so gifted in it really. Continue to let God stir this love of his in your heart. You're gonna be surprise by him one day, and i really look forward for that day to happen really quickly! It was great to have you as a leader during Christmas @ BV. Rock on in NJ next year and continue to study hard, and be a little lamb for God in NJ.

Ryan Kam:
It has been really really great to be under your leadership from God in OAK. I believe, every one of us, will agree that we've learn so much from you, and know that God has been working through you to touch every individual life of ours. And i believe, this year, it has been a success. Go with all your heart, mind, strength, for God, to plan for the 2009 mission trip. Nothing is easy, because you're going to touch lives in countries that belong to the Devil's territory. But, with God, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE! In 2009, God will once again use you, in a much greater way. Once again thank you, for all you've done in OAK, from the welfare of every cell group member, to every heart of ours, to every cell group discussion, to every prayer of yours.

Joycelyn Yeo:
Thank you for being such a devoted leader during OPERATION DHL. I believe, you've brought fun, and joy in the cell group. You yourself, is fun and joy. I hope, that through your O'levels that you conquered this year, you could see God's protection, mercies upon you along the way. And, i hope that this camp had really once again stir this fire inside you, ready to explode for God's glory. Continue to be a servant of him, to serve him humbly with all that you've got! I think, you've done a marvelous job today, and you've wonderfully planned today's cell group outing. Thank you for all you've done.

JoelPang:
Thanks for being a great mentor for the group. I think you've brought the most joy to the whole cell group. I think, you've played a key role in the bonding of our cell group. Through God, working in you, you've really bonded us together. Somehow magical, but hey, that's how God works right:). Next year, as you take over leadership and lead us, i know you're gonna bring us much closer to God, and i have faith in you, that you'll do a great job again.

Joel Chua:
I guess alex has to say thank you to you ya? I think you've payed a lot of your time to take care of him, to show concern and love over him. Don't you agree Alex? Yeah, even though you don't speak much, i know of your love for the group, you played a major part this year. Next year, will be even better, you know it, don't you? :)

David Quah:
Heya you small naughty kid! I don't know if you read this blog, but i guess you really grew this year yeah? Continue to realise God's love for you and continue to grow in him. As you grow, i believe you'll find your place in God's heart, and you'll find the importance of him. Believe me, he is the greatest gift for Christmas.

Elza Loo:
Once again, your sharings never fail to touch me yeah. Especially when you share till you tear, i can see the sincerity in it all. I believe, you'll grow strong with God, and when people see you, they see a great living testimony of God. Continue to be a light of God. Grow in him, and you'll discover more plans awaiting for you.

Joan:

TO OAK 2009:
To my beloved whole cell group, i just wanna once again thank you for learning journey in 2008. In 2009, it is my prayer for each of us, to once again grow deeper in God. Not only to grow deeper with God, but to discover him actually as a friend, and we actually allowing ourselves to be friends of God. Let's be a group where we're so strong with God, that we become testimonies of God's love/grace/. I hope, that like this year, each of us will get to open up even more, like we're real siblings. I believe, we will become a family. At the same time, it is my prayer for each of us to discover God's love because without discovering this love of his, i cannot believe in us growing deeper. As we approach the year of missions again. Lets all have this passion of missions. Lets not only worry about our ownselves, our own problems, our own environment, but lets reach out to God's people, God's society, God's heart of the world. Let's bring people to know of this Awesome God, this Awesome Protector, the Prince Of Peace.

joelchua: Hello Oakers, I guess you all had fun during our last cell outing today. yeah! Here are the photos. I know that most of the pictures are unglam. haha.

Now we've almost come to the end of 2008. I believe that from what we learnt this year shall be applied in our life in the following year, 2009.
I can see us growing spiritually bonding together during these times. Remember that time in January/February we got nothing to talk about but keep quiet and stare at each other. hahaha. Yeah. Let give thanks to our Lord Jesus for His love and grace, binding us in one accord to worship, adore and love him.
