A Caring and Protective Love – Lessons from David and Jonathan
The Bible tells us that Jonathan “loved David as himself”, and this shows in his determination to protect David from Saul’s plot to kill him. His deep concern for David is felt in their conversations, as well as his response towards Saul’s treatment of David. This teaching aims to highlight that the desire to care for and protect is a natural impulse when one loves. A parallel will be drawn with God’s caring and protective love towards his children.

The place where it can be found in the bible is from 1st Samuel chapter 18 onwards. I know it sounds a bit gay haha but no okay.
